Using Glaze On Kitchen Cabinets. Glazing cabinets is an easy way to update the look and feel of your space. Go back with a damp (NOT wet) cloth and remove all of the excess glaze.
This will add to the natural, antiqued appearance. If necessary, you can use a paint brush to make the glaze appear darker in specific areas. Note: The cabinets were painted with Dutch Boy Cabinet & Trim Paint prior to glazing.
You can use less glaze, which means the detailing won't be as dark.
Brush the glaze onto the cabinet doors with a fine-bristle or foam paintbrush, working in the areas that you marked off.
Paint the glaze on a few cabinet doors or drawers at a time. It's an antique cabinet with glass door, two shelves, and lots of potential! It all depends on the surroundings, the door style, the color of the glaze and how heavy it is applied.
